IGNITION BASED ON FINGERPRINT
Normally available locks in the
bikes do not provide enough security to the bike owners. Traditional locks
available in the bikes are well known to thieves and they can be easily broken
Thus there is a need for more
security options to be available for the motorcycle which is unique and must be
different from the traditional key locks. Biometrics system can be used as a
good and effective security option. An important and very reliable human
identification method is fingerprint identification.
In this paper the work done
before in this field is shown. Various other methods that can be used to
enhance the security have been shown in a comparative way. Related work include
enhancing the security of the bikes by adding different types of locks and
alarming unit to alert owner of the bike in case of danger.

Based On Fingerprint & Keypad Recognition

IGNITION OF ENGINE BY USING
Fingerprint for the bike
starter is introduced for the two wheeler security. Now a days the bike theft
is happening everywhere. So, this technology has been introduced were each
person will be having the separate fingerprint authentication .By adding this
technology easily reduce the theft cases.
The main use of the fingerprint
is to be free from keys for the bikes and can avoid the duplication of keys. If
any intruder try to access the bike the respective owner ill be alarmed fixed
to the biometric device. The fingerprint system provides more security then he
usage of keys.
Biometric authentication systems today and
in the future
However, despite this diverse range of trail
uses and proposals biometric data is still not widely used for user
authentication. It also analyses if the
use of biometric data makes systems more secure and if it is worth spending
more money on such systems.
The discussion and
analysis in the paper leads to the conclusion that in most cases the trade-offs
which need to be made are not good enough to consider biometric user
authentication . At the end the paper provides a short outlook about the future
use of biometric data.

Biometric systems have in a
long time served as a strong security system in many different applications and
it can also be implemented in automobile industry. It relies on specific data
about unique biological trait in order to work effectively.
This system involves running data through
algorithms for a particular result, usually related to a positive identification
of a user or other individuals .

A Prototype of a
Fingerprint Based Ignition Systems in Vehicles
Biometric systems have
overtime served as robust security mechanisms in various domains. Fingerprints
are the oldest and most widely used form of biometric identification. A
critical step in exploring its advantages is to adopt it for use as a form of
security in already existing systems, such as vehicles.
This research work focuses on the
use of fingerprints for vehicle ignition, as opposed to the conventional method
of using keys. The prototype system could be divided into the following modules
such as fingerprint analysis software module that accepts fingerprints images;
hardware interface module and the ignition system module.
The fingerprint recognition
software enables fingerprints of valid users of the vehicle to be enrolled in a
database. Control for the ignition system of the vehicle is achieved by sending
appropriate signals to the parallel port of the computer and subsequently to
the interface control circuit.
