Business culture can be defined as codes of principles and values that govern decisions and actions within a company. In the business world, the organizations culture sets standards for determining the difference between good and bad decision making and behavior. The Slumdog Millionaire is directed by Danny Bolye. This movie is just not talking about the poverty or the life in the slums, nor is it about a gameshow or millionaires. It is more on caste, culture, globalization, basic needs and humanity. From the movie, Slumdog Millionaire, the first thing that can we look is the child labor which is in Malaysia is prohibited to hire children to do work. However, because of the poverty of the citizen, the children have to work to earn some money. Another than that, from the movie itself it show that, the beggar can be a sources of income too. From the movie, Maman the owner of the beggar business used the prohibited ways which is he discover neglected children, and make them to find money for them. Some of the children are also been blind in order for them to get more money while begging. Other than that, the hero of the movie, Jamal works as a tea server in a call center.
The call center is a true image of India now, which is most of big country are outsource the technology to India country since there is low cost labor. Most of IT specialists are from India. This show that, now India now is moving from lower level of income country to middle income country.
From the movie too, it show that in order to do business, it is involves building a relationships. In general, Indians only deal with those they know and trust. For example, when Salim wants to join the new gangster group, he shows the proof that he killed Maman and then become the trusted follower by Javeer to do all his illegal businesses. As compared to Malaysia, normal business hours are 9 a.
m. to 5 p. m Mondays to Fridays, with many businesses and government agencies also open until noon on Saturdays. Malaysia is predominantly dominated by ethnic Chinese and they are very particular about punctuality. Malaysia also would do business only with someone they know or trust. On the other hand the Malaysian or Indian hosts can be a little late and have a relaxed attitude.Other than that, from the movie itself where the host of the gameshow is trying to make Jamal to not win the money which is the question is, it is the value of them to support unfair dissections and exclusions, to strip certain individuals the opportunity to access the knowledge that makes them successful and to secure their truly life. This is means, when they do so, it will show the personal bias and discrimination towards personal life who comes from slums.
It is also can be issued as kasta or ethnicity instead of to understand how people’s life turn into forming, acquiring and organizing their knowledge.
