as communication skills, wisdom, powerful, forward looking and equitable. Combination of these skills will make a perfect leader. Leadership skills have marked there place in the management hierarchy and are regarded as the most important for the selection of the leader. Communication skills are generally the most important leadership skills which allow the person to demonstrate his views and present his ideas to the audience. Leaders around the world have been trained and developed different communication styles to express there view. Leaders have a good set of both interpersonal and intra-personal skills. Companies train there employees on different styles of communication in order to make them future leaders.
Leaders should have Wisdom, which means high knowledge, experience, and intuitive understanding, along with a capacity to apply these well. It is the judicious application of knowledge. A person when proficient in knowledge with application is regarded as Leader. Problem solving which is a part of wisdom is also a very important leadership skill; problems should be solved and rectified with the help of leader. Powerful is one more important leadership skill, a leader should have a power from his side to demonstrate the work. This skill makes a person to stand to his words and follow his wording and instructions. 90% of the leaders around the world are powerful – Times Magazine, Powerful Leader, 2005. Forward looking is the other important skill of a leader, which makes a person to think for the future aspects. The visionary nature of the person is very important to think innovative and creative which has always resulted in good yields. Fair mind is one of the important leadership skills, which requires equal valuation and respecting ones his peers and subordinates at work. This is regarded as attitude and behavioral aspect of the leader which is treated as the most important in interpersonal
relations of a person. A person who equipped with the above skills and qualities is said to be a leader.
Leaders play a critical role during change implementation, the period from the announcement of change through the installation of the change. During this middle period the organization is the most unstable, characterized by confusion, fear, loss of direction, reduced productivity, and lack of clarity about direction and mandate. It can be a period of emotionalism, with employees grieving for what is lost, and initially unable to look to the future. In addition to forecast and amiability, the characteristics that leader must have are ability to recognize employees’ talents, the know-how to make teams work and an open mind. Leadership does vary to some extent as per the positions that is it may be slight different for manager and different for a union leader but the basic qualities of leadership does not change.

Productivity and functionality of any organizations depend upon the proper communication channel used by the management. Leaders play a important role in this communication process, by acting as channels between management and workers. They are responsible for passing and communicating the message from management to workers and motivate them to work for there goals. Leaders attract workers by using the style of communication, every leader will have a unique style of communicating the message. Leaders should be equipped with different forms of communication in order to be competent in a organization. Establishing Supportive Communication Systems by leaders will lead to develop individual and team communication skills; establishing systems that support collaboration and cooperation between internal and external individuals and groups; implementing information management systems that ensure key information reaches appropriate people in a timely manner; encouraging consultative and participative decision making at all levels. Wisdom has been identified as the important leadership skill because of the quality work that can be demonstrated by a leader who has wisdom. Leaders with wisdom can concentrate on results by contributing to the establishment of an organizational culture that demands high standards and high levels of performance; focusing on objectives and planned outcomes, at all times; dealing with issues and problems when they arise; planning and scheduling personal work and the work of others in ways which make best use of available resources; delegating appropriately; giving personal attention to the critical issues and events.

Powerful and dynamic leaders will dominate the corporate world with effective decision making and developing effective teams. A powerful leader can take his own decisions without depending upon management. Leader can solve the team problems and approach to the analysis of information; drawing on personal experience and knowledge to identify current and potential problems; consider a range of solutions before selecting the final one; ensuring that the selected decision is feasible, achievable, and affordable; considering the impact of the decision on all stakeholders, at all levels, before approving implementation (Kaufman, R. Leaders with forward looking have more business impact in the organizational development. Leaders visionary skills will help him to build good relations with the team members. Visionary skills like future planning and developmental strategies will help leaders to build a profit organization. The visionary nature of the person is very important to think innovative and creative which has always results in good yields. Visionary skills can help a leader to evaluate and appropriate corrective action with minor and major problems. Leader examine the physical working conditions, team structure and span of control to see they are compatible with the job in hand and look after the improvements that are to be made.
Visionary skills will be important in order to maintain an accurate and informed overall picture of the organization, and further analyze the growth oriented aspects of the company. Leaders can help organizations to find the perfect future resources and methods that would help them for personal growth as well as organizational growth. Equitable and Fair minded
Equitable and fair mindedness will help a leader to perform his role more efficiently in an organization, with this he can motivate others to perform work in dedicating his role in the company. Equitable is the objective of the management to see and evaluate employees equally in an organization, which also involves equal performance appraisal. Leaders follow methods to develop there fair minded activity in an organization. This help the leader to stabilize interpersonal skills and good relationships with the employees.
Leaders by laying down clear quality criteria for the assessment of the condition of relationships; establishing monitoring procedures which include scheduled evaluation review points; insisting that evaluation reviews are carried out even though the relationship appears to be healthy; taking appropriate corrective action to address problems; adopting a continuous improvement approach to all internal and external relationships in an organization. Important Skills and Improvement
The most important leadership skills are identified as Communication skills, Powerful and Forward looking/Visionary. To improve communication skills we’ve to work on practice by developing interpersonal exercises and mock presentations. Study in depth analysis of communication channels in an organization and try to implement them practically. Understanding and adopting one of the style of communication, mainly equilateral which is the best leadership communication style.
Being powerful is by adopting a dynamic nature and protecting one’s piracy. Dynamic style of personality should be developed and should be practiced among friends and peers. Forward looking/visionary is very important and that can be enriched only through industry analysis and interpretation. Study companies and industry growth as whole and try to make changes.
In any business, exceptional leadership skills are needed in order to succeed. Whether you own the business, manage it or are an employee looking to make his or her way up the corporate ladder, the right leadership style is essential in order to reach your goals. It can be said without argument that well-honed leadership skills are the most important component of being a success in the business world. As a leader, adaptability means reacting in an effective manner to shifting circumstances in your business environment. Everybody experiences adaptive challenges, but leaders are keen to resolve these issues with a carefully thought-out plan of action. If there is one trait that every business leader needs most in today’s business environment, it is adaptability.
