Many people have distorted positions in this twenty-four hours and age. One of which, I believe, is the manner people look at drugs, every bit good as, drug users. Bing that it is now the twelvemonth 2000, drugs have been around rather a long clip. We should all cognize whats traveling on, and I think most do. However, I think most are excessively nescient to acknowledge the obvious. Like, why adolescents use drugs. Most attempt to come up with alibis such as, ? they? re down? or? peer pressure. ? This is incorrect, a deformed view.Teenagers get bored really easy. In life we all go through our drouths. Timess in life when we have perfectly nil to make. When this occurs, it seams like the minute manus on the clock is numbering hours. At this point, teens feel they have nil better to make with their clip. Yes, schools do seek and make full most young persons? encephalons with excess curricular activities. But, many teens find this association drilling, and insistent. Think about it, how much merriment can one really have at an after school activity. Sports, and other course of studies are shunned by many teens, because of the visual aspect they give off. They want something new in their lives. Teenss tend to happen that drugs pass the clip with easiness. Drugs can do them experience like they aren? t making nil because they are on something. This is besides the instance when teens live in metropoliss with nil to make. They sit around all twenty-four hours, other than school or work. And with either monolithic sums of clip to kill, or few ; Teenss still find their metropolis improbably dull. In bend, they have nil to make. This is besides where drugs come to play. Teens channel the ennui of their pathetic towns into assorted ch
emicals. Some teens, unlike popular belief, have gotten into drugs all by themselves. They experimented once, probably out of pure curiosity, and enjoyed themselves. These teens are very unique people, though. They stepped out of the ?norm,? and they tried something new. This isn?t a good thing, to play around with drugs. However, that does show a sense of boldness. Trying something new, all by oneself, can be a scary thing. It?s just the same as a young one smoking his/her first cigarette. He/she is either all alone or with friends, again it is all curiosity. In doing this, many begin to smoke regularly, as with drugs many become regular users. Most teens find the ?high? they receive from these drugs, fulfilling. Giving them a sense of happiness, or control in an otherwise all too regular world. Drugs can bring out many traits in oneself. Teens find they can do things, they thought they couldn?t. With all these drugs, teens often become reliant. Needing, or rather wanting the high, just to be out of the ?norm.?Then there are the parents. Many parents use drugs daily. When teens see their most prominent role models taking drugs, they begin to think it?s OK. Role models have an impact on everyone?s life. With teens, they see their parents daily, and many follow in their parent?s footsteps. Whether it?s in an occupation or in the use of drugs. They figure if their parents are doing it, it can?t be all too bad. What most people don?t understand is that teens do have minds of their own. The only person that does drugs is the one that decides to. No one makes anyone do drugs. In the end it?s a decision based solely on what feels. Which is the way it should be, a decision.
