The Godfather is an Academy Award winning mob genre film written by Mario Puzo and directed by Francis Ford Coppola. It was released in 1972 based on its original published novel about a powerful Italian family known as the Corleones. This story is considered by most the second greatest movie in American history. The set of The Godfather took place in America in New York City which was perfect for the movie since New York was known as the mob capital of America.

The title of The Godfather would be significant to the Italian family as God would be to a Christian, A combination of respect and power fear with consequence. The synchronous sounds of warning building up to tragedy would be an example to the sound of thunder. In a particular scene that was used to show how powerful the godfather was would be the horse head in the bed that would completely weaken and devastate any individual by cutting off their most precious and treasured possessions.
